ICSTARS Astronomy's Hydrogen Alpha Solar Observations

Rotation 1980 - Location: Bonner Springs, Kansas, USA. 4.75 inch refractor operating at f42 with prototype .4 angstrom prominence filter. Sky: Clear. Seeing: Good. Kodak Tech Pan 2415 film. The "Yellowscope" traveled to the Robinson Lunar Observatory for an afternoon workout with the

Under the beautiful flares and loops seen above, Region 9591 rounded the limb.

Region 9601 crossed the center of the solar disk.
